Caribbean Goods | Guatemalan Specialty Coffee
Caribbean Goods are a Guatemalan specialty coffee importer, based in Glasgow. Our relationship together dates back to our launch day in 2022, where their coffee, a semi-washed Tekisic from Finca Rabanales was our first ever release!
I was introduced to Javier by my friend Nat, now owner of Jan Lek. Together, we had a very detailed chat about Caribbean Goods and Javier's mission. It was clear after a brief conversation that his love for coffee, his country and the farmers that he worked with was very genuine and that a trade relationship between the two of us would be mutually beneficial, fruitful and long term.

"We envision a world where all the agricultural goods from the Latin-American region will be fairly sourced in a transparent supply chain with fair pay for the farmers who produce them. At Caribbean Goods, making the world a better place is our mission. We started sourcing green coffee from Guatemala and plan to expand and source other agricultural goods in the region shortly. Caribbean Goods was founded to create a better life and work environment for people who work in the fields, their families, and their communities." - Javier, Caribbean Goods
Javier's ethos aligns perfectly with our own, with an emphasis on Quality, Traceability, Customer and Farm level relationships, Empowerment and Environmental Conservation.
Our creations using Javier's coffees have been keenly featured by the team at Redgoat, Drop By Local and a number of other phenomenal coffee shops.

"We work with sustainable farms that have come up with ingenious solutions to generate a more sustainable supply chain. Some of the actions the farmers have incurred are using vermicompost rather than traditional fertilizers, keeping the endemic trees of the region rather than removing them, and planting specific trees to create a shadow for coffee. Using water treatment plants to lower the PH of water after washing the coffee and many more actions take us towards a greener and more sustainable world.
One of the farms we work with, Finca Medina, reuses 100% of the water needed to process the coffee beans, so they don't waste a drop! If that's not an inspiration to us all, we don't know what is!"
Finca Medina, are one of many Guatemalan coffee farms that have featured on Harmony's offer list. Last year, we purchased 13 sacks of coffee, and in 2025, we are looking to increase our purchasing commitment to 30 sacks.
Every year, we receive a Christmas hamper from Javier and the team at Caribbean Goods - which is such a nice touch, and genuine testament to the kind of people they are.
